Code Chefs builds web products for EU and UK teams. We keep our own site simple. This page explains the cookies we set on codechefs.dev. It tells you why we use them and how to manage them.

01 · The basics

A cookie is a small text file. Your browser stores it when you visit a site. It helps the site remember your visit. Most are tiny and harmless.

We use cookies sparingly. We only set what the site needs to work well. We never use them to build hidden profiles of you.

Here are the three groups we use. Each one has a clear job. The table shows how long each group lasts.

Essential cookies

Session

These keep the site working. They handle page routing and basic security. The site cannot run without them. You cannot turn them off.

Preference cookies

Up to 6 months

These remember small choices. Think language or a dismissed banner. They make your next visit smoother. They never track you across sites.

Analytics cookies

Up to 12 months

These count visits in an aggregate way. They show us which pages help and which fall flat. We use the data to improve the site. We never sell it.

How to manage cookies

You decide what stays on your device. There are three easy ways to take control. None of them takes more than a minute.

    Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies. Open your privacy settings to review what is stored. You stay in control at all times.

  2. Per-site control

    You can clear cookies for codechefs.dev alone. Other sites stay untouched. This is the cleanest way to reset your visit here.

  3. Do-not-track

    We honour browser do-not-track signals where we can. Turn it on and we skip non-essential cookies. No extra steps are needed from you.

04 · Outside tools

Third-party cookies

Some pages may load tools from trusted partners. An embedded map or video is one example. Those partners may set their own cookies. We keep this list short on purpose.

We may update this policy as the site grows. We will change the date at the top when we do. Please check back now and then.
